Bookmarked Bokeh: Private, ad-free, and user-funded photo sharing (kickstarter.com)

This is an interesting concept, and reminds me a little bit of micro.blog. The details are a little light though and I’m not sure whether I’m confident in the project enough to back it. What do you think?

  1. I’m not sure I agree with their definition of private. If you share a photo with publicly, it’s no longer private. And I suspect it will suffer from the same problem I see on micro.blog. The backers will most likely be software/techies, and the community will be small. It’s like living in a small rural town. No matter how many parties you’ll go to, you’ll see the same faces. How soon have we forgotten app.net!
