Since discovering “Thousand Year Old Vampire” I’ve been interested in solo RPGs.
“A Lonely Road” came by mail today.
It’s by @ella_maybe and it’s a hack of Takuma Okada’s “Alone Among the Stars” (also a great game).
Look forward to playing it, after Nano.

@toddgrotenhuis It’s fun! It does challenge your creativity to find new ways to answer the prompts, but I needed the mental exercise.
I also played it with friends. We had a shared Google Docs and weekly sessions via Zoom. We roll our prompts separately, but tell each other what it is, then spend 10-15 in silence together as we try to come up with our answer. Occasionally, we’d find ways to link the events to each other’s characters.
In the end, we managed to have each character cause someone else’s demise in some way.
Playing in a group means you can kind of “show off” what you’ve done to your character. It was fantastic!
